"We all know that Toyota has had numberous problems with their inadequate front braking system in the Sequoia's. Well, this is the answer! I replaced all four rotors and pads myself in my garage! I used the info included and found a U-Tube video for the front brakes. Now, between warranty and my wallet, I have spent over $4,600 on brakes on this car over the last 12 years. The last time, the Toyotoa Dealership charged me $1,200 just for two front rotors and pads and new pads on the rear. ThAT was $151 a rotr and $78 per pad kit just for the front! You have got to be kidding me! These were less than $400 and in an afternoon without any power tools (used my wrenches, a tourque wrench, WD-40 and a 5lb hammer) I did this myself! Two things:
1) Check the parking brake pads on the rear, they should be OK, but mine kept grabbing, overheating the rear rotors, so I just removed them.
2) Get a professional to bleed your brake fluid system. You'll need that due to the ABS System.
It is truly amazing the way this system disperses the heat! This is KEY with Sequoiass. And the stopping power? Awesome. Make sure to break in the pads just like the Power Stop video states, to set up your system properly. Now I am going to get a set for my 2009 Camry, which has front wheel wobble, just like my Sequoia did, when I step on the brakes. This system elminated all that and more! What are you waiting for!
