StopTech Slotted Brake Rotors Reviews

DIY Adventure

My annual safety inspection indicated a brake replacement was needed soon, but I passed. I had time. I researched the job at local repair shops and labor tripled the cost. I decided to try DIY with upgraded parts and still save money.. I chose Stoptech slotted rotors and Hawk LTS pads. A buddy was bribed for assistance. AutoAnything was great. The parts are worth the money spent. Unfortunately, the spring weather won't cooperate. The installation and testing are waiting for a sunny day.

great upgrade for braking system.

Like most people I was wondering how these drilled and slotted rotors would be. Drilled? Slotted? or both? Being a Auto tech with 30+ yrs. I tried them and they are quiet on braking and on hard braking grab very fast. I do live on a mountain with about 6 miles of 20 - 30% grade down hill driving so brakes get a good and hot. These rotors can take the heat with very little fading and still able to grab hard when needed. I like the e-coating to keep rotors nice and rust free for years. Great rotor
