Brake Lines

Whether you drive an off-road-loving Jeep Wrangler or a classy Lexus SC300, the
brake lines are equally important on both. They're like the veins of your brake system, channeling precious hydraulic fluid between the parts. When you take a turn, steer out of the way of a road-crossing rabbit or stop at a stoplight, you apply force to your brake pedal. The force moves the brake fluid stored in your ride's master cylinder through your brake lines to the brake calipers. Once they're full of brake juice, the calipers clamp down on the brake rotors to slow the car. So, your brake lines are the connectors—your brake lines ensure the smooth transition of fluid from brake component to brake component, so you can take the corner, save the rabbit and avoid a traffic violation.
There are two different types of brake lines in use: basic metal-tubing brake lines and steel-braided brake lines. Basic brake lines might be cheaper, but steel-braided, performance brake lines generate more responsive braking. Whether you need replacement OEM or performance brake lines, AutoAnything has them from top brands like Goodridge, Skyjacker Systems and StopTech.
Brake lines are made to fit your specific year, make and model, ensuring ultimate braking performance. Although installation might be tricky for novice wrench wranglers, a veteran DIYer can install new brake lines right at home.
