Installation was fairly easy; I could not watch the game because one of my wife’s favorite romantic comedy’s (movie) was on the tube. I downed my work cloths and went to work. Installation of the front went quickly the back gave me a little trouble because of the emergency brake system the disc brake pistons spin. I suggest you purchase a disc brake tool for $10 at your local auto parts store or AutoAnyting, it makes the job more simple. I matched my Sport Rotors up with EBC Red Stuff and I am pleased with the results for both stopping and looks. The total work time with basic hand tools for all four wheels, rotors and brakes took me 2.5 hours.

My father told me about Anything Auto and that he got EBC rotors and pads from them and was pleased. Great deals like free shipping. I decided to upgrade from OEM rotors to EBC rotors and just got the base line EBC pads. Immediately after I installed the pads and rotors I noticed great braking power. No vibrations and easy installation. I just got back from a 1,000+ mile trip from PA to Indiana and back to PA. So far I can say when its time to replace them I will be buying EBC again. They look great and perform great.

But, they are getting much better now. So, the bedding-in process takes a long time. I drive about 100 miles a week. I'm not happy with the green color with my yellow brake calipers, but I'll live with it.All that said, the initial bite of the brakes is amazing compared to the original brakes on the Lotus. There's no surging or strange noises. I have not taken them to the track yet, but I've done some hard braking to test them and I think they will perform well enough for my skill level at the track.

I was afraid of EBC's warning of less initial bite in cold weather. Since I live in illinois the winters get cold. So far the lowest it has gotten has been 24 degrees and the pads stop just fine. I'll have to see when it gets into the negative. Otherwise they are great pads for a heavy car that you like to drive fast. There is no noise and they give off less brake dust then the greenstuff. The bite on these pads make stopping effortless. it makes you think you are stopping a car that is much lighter. Will definitely be buying these from now on

The only issue with installation was that the rear pads had some preservative coating over the friction surface. They would not fit even with the piston all the way in. I ended up having to remove the coating with a sander in order to get them to fit. Other than that, as straight forward as can be.The performance is great. These are very aggressive for street pads. Initial bite from cold is fair, but with a bit of heat, very good feel and ability to modulate. One hundred percent better than the stock pads. Also if you hate dust, don't buy these. But for me, the performance is more important....and the dust washes off!
