7 of 8 people found this review helpful. the hawk pads coupled with powerstop slotted rotors made a noticeable difference in stopping ability. they don't come with bedding instructions, but it's basically the same procedure. one thing i dislike (but is expected with a full ceramic pad) is your first couple of stops in the morning (especially when it's cold out). after about 2 good applications of the pedal, they show thier true colors. for a daily driven vehicle that's not driven spirited, these pads are not for you. for a car that's DRIVEN, these pads and powerstop rotors will do the trick. don't neglect to apply the grease supplied, to the slides and pad backings.

3 of 5 people found this review helpful. I am a pizza driver and I do a lot of street driving. I ahve been buying premium break pads for a long time, since I believe this is an important caveat for safe driving. In the past I have been buying Akebono Ceramic break pads, because of good reviews and less dust on my aluminum rims. However Hawk HPS Brake Pads surpassed my expectations. With very little breaking force (maybe 1/2 of the force necessary for Akebono pads) they do the excellent breaking job. The dust might be a little more but I feel more secure with Hawk HPS Brake Pads. The only negative comment I have is that these pads do not come with the installation hardware - caliper shims. I reused the old shims which CAME with Akebono pads. Thanks for reading.

6 of 8 people found this review helpful. I have a 2006 F-350 King Ranch; it is a crew cab dually, and when pulling a 14k load, I find it necessary to slow it down pretty quickly on occasion. These pads do just that. The recommended break-in sequence was followed to the letter. These pads are awesome! Pair them up with the Power Slot rotors, and it's game over! You WILL NOT FIND A BETTER COMBINATION. Get these LTS pads (green label), not the super duty pads (orange label) pads; these LTS pads are EXCELLENT for our big trucks in terms of longevity, reduced rotor wear, and low dust...............so what are you waiting for? Stop reading this review and go buy yourself a set!

I was having issues with the OEM equipment on my truck after installing a lift, larger tires, and computer, etc. I have since upgraded the rotors and pads on the truck. I have to say that I was reluctant to think that such minor mods as rotors and pads would solve my braking problems. My concerns were quickly relieved when I felt the bite and came to a quick stop the first time I hit the brakes on my rig. 4,000 miles later and I'm still impressed. I would recommend the mods to anyone experiencing similar problems. And, finally, I'm seeing slightly less dust build up on my wheels. 06 Turbo DieselSix Inch Lift, 37" Tires.
