Better than OEM for my Passat

I usually don't expect things like brake pads to make a noticeable improvement to my cars, but these suprised me. I got these to replace the OEM pads on my car because I felt it just wasn't stopping as well as it could. My next step is to get better tires, but the pads were a cheaper, possible fix. The hawk pads have better response to pedal input, in my opinion. They make it easier to make quick adjustments in brake pressure, such as it's needed in stop and go traffic.

Just make sure that you bed these in properly they tend to glaze if you treat them too timidly or like me have a 15mph town limit and slide up to stop signs. Once I got onto the open road I bedded them in and now they're great. A friend drove my truck back as I was picking up another truck and they got out and said man your brakes really bite! That's why I use Hawk ceramics. Only drawback is again low speed squeak even without pressure on the pads.
