These pads are great. I have always used Acura OEM, but decided to try an aftermarket type ceramic. No dust and positive stopping like the OEM's I have used since I bought the Acura new. Great deal for the price.

I utilized the Hawk pads and PowerSlot rotors as OEM replacements for my TSX. The front factory rotors had developed a warp and I had a shimmy on braking. The new pads and rotors corrected that problem and more. Braking feel is great, harder-shorter stops with less pressure, no brake fade. I couldn't be happier.

letter code ratings for brake pads

what are the letter codes of these brake pads

Staff Answer

Answered by Nathan S. — 7/19/2012 5:12:50 PM

Hawk indicates a letter "Y" on expected brake effect for the LTS pads. Nominal friction is most likely a "G" but is not indicated as these are high performance pads and an emphasis has been placed on higher temperature operation.
