I would not buy these again. Had nothing but annoying squealing since install. I've redone the rear brakes 3 times to get the squeal to stop. Now my front right is squealing. The shims cannot be fixed to the pad so I had to use disc break quiet to somewhat adhear them to the pad. One of the shims slipped and started cutting into my rotor. Glad I caught that early. My real complaint is the noise and bad shims. The breaking and pad quality is fine but next time I will stick to oem brand pads.
I have a 99 4Runner SR5 with the larger 16" wheels. When I bought my runner it already had warped rotors so I decided to nab some of these and a set of EBC slotted rotors. This combo is simply awesome I can now stop with confidence. The downfalls of these pads is that their true stopping power is achieved when the pads have come to temperature. They also expel a good amount of dust, although I don't want wash my truck regularly so if you do you may not notice as much. Overall I am very happy.
Ebc greenstuff brake pads
These pads are so much better than the stock pads. The installation was simple and the pads came with grease for the shims. My 4runner stops on a dime now and the brake pedal has a really reassuring firm feel. The only quible is that there is a slight squeal when pads are cold upon first application of the brakes, after that they are silent. I would recommend these pads to anyone that wants better performance from their brakes than what stock offers.
