2002 Solara w/ 59,000 on it . Wm. Orlando Fl.
OEM brakes still had ~ 2-4,000 miles left on them. Replaced them w/ Posi Quiet pads. Very easy to install. ( ~ 20min. a side.) No noise from get go. About half the brake pressure to stop the car. Takes day or two to get used to the new pads.I have about 500 miles on them , no dust. I rate them the best after market pads I have ever installed.
Quality you can see and feel.
I had heard about these brake pads from a few auto forums and decided to give them a try. My '02 Toyota Solara never seemed to have good brakes, which concerned me for such a heavy car. Installing the green stuff pads was a bit of a pain, requiring a bit of filing since they fit my caliper clips a little too tight right out of the box. The pads come with a nice adhesive shim pad that eliminates any noise or squeals. The pads also have a "break in" coating that facilitates the surface mating between the rotors and pads, and it takes a week or so of city driving to scrub that off - during that time the braking effect is only slightly diminished. The pads have added modulation that I didn't have before, a slight touch brings them on and they feel progressive right to the point of wheel lock. I now feel that my car will safely respond when I need it to stop instead of the vague feel I used to get. Now I just need to get a set for my wife's car too !! These pads are all I will use going forward....
