Merrick Machine Company is the maker of The Auto Dolly product line as well as the "Merrick Originals" line of tools for automotive restoration and repair. Merrick Machine Company was originally founded by Jim Merrick in 1961. And, Merrick Machine Company was established to manufacture a new line of highly automated and specialized machinery for home builders. Having proved extremely successful over the years, Merrick Machine Company also began a diversification program into the plastic business beginning in 1972.

As Merrick Machine Company continued to grow and develop, it was then incorporated into various divisions. Today, Merrick Machine Company has structured these divisions as limited partnerships with each business operating as a stand-alone company, and doing business in separate facilities with independent offices, manufacturing and warehousing. With sustained and programmed growth a major part of its business plan, Merrick Machine Company continues to modernize and expand its physical assets and state-of-the-art equipment. The diversity of Merrick Machine Company includes products for recreation, agriculture, breweries, cookware, automotive, plumbing, manufacturing and medical industries.

With an active customer base of more than 2,250 accounts, Merrick Machine Company produces a wide range of products that serves almost every area of the economy.
