This hood shield looks awesome on my truck. I like that you can't see it from the front seats, but it works well to protect the top part of the hood from rocks and bugs. One problem with hood or bug shields on Chevrolet trucks is they make the molding around the windshield flap and make noise going down the road. This protector does not !!!!!!!!!!

This EGR hood shield is a good price and seems like good quality. Its been installed for almost 2 weeks now and I can tell stones and bugs are not hitting the hood. Downsides are that it does nothing for the windshield and installation is absolutely easier with two people. Lining up the screw mounts with the holes of the hood is not so simple on wide trucks with one set of arms.

After ordering the wrong color (matte black instead of preferred smoke), we finally installed the bug guard on our 2013 Chevy Avalanche. Installation was ok, tho we had a litte trouble with getting the screws tight enough. At this point, it seems to be working well. I have not yet taken it through our touchless carwash, but I'm not expecting any trouble. Just want to say that the customer service from AutoAnything for the return and re-order of the correct color was FANTASTIC!
