Received the hood shield on time. Installation on my 2014 Ford F150 was a bit more complicated than stated in the instructions. Very little space created for the mounting tabs when I loosened the nuts for the grill - put 3 scratch guards on the hood side and 3 on the grill side (not detailed in the instructions). I had to drive the mounting tabs on the grill with a piece of wood & small hammer. Other than that, shield looks good.

Over the years I've purchased at least a dozen or more bug deflectors. Most of them well known brands. This time with the new style grilles and fronts I wanted one to show off this chromed grille. Most covered the top fo the grille and weren't off the grille or body parts.I came across EGR's Superguard shield. It had the look I wanted and so I dug in to find out the actual function, quality, installation, and other details.I came back to this brand numerous times while searching for the right shield.Even calling several sellers asking questions.I found it to be the best durability, most eye appealing, and what I wanted for value. The strong materials used and basically pretty simple installation of product while keeping it off the grille or the hood.Only one thing may I suggest on instructions for installation;that is the use of a plastic angled wedge or plastic putty knife to spread hood and grille on installing the clips.that it makes it much easier with no damage to original truck parts, also putting plastic item in from the hood towards the grille and slight pressure towards the grille.(maybe that is different installation then on other vechicles?) but I found this to be the best stable shield I've ever purchased and installed. Thank you for this very good product.

It looks good but impossible to install without breaking the grill attachment hardware. Looked on the internet how to get the grille loose and you really have to know what you are doing. I wasn't willing to risk the chance to break the grille on the brand new truck.

The EGR hood shield was an affordable, streamlined, and easy to install. good bargain for the price. would recommend to others looking to add on without taking away from the body lines of your Truck.

EGR claims for their product is what they say it is. Follow instructions, and the Hood Shield fits and looks like it was bourn in production of My FORD 150 at the plant. I'm ordering more product for all my windows by EGR.

The instructions were hard to understand. A clear drawing would have helped tremendously. Once sorted out it went on and stayed on. It is a two person job to get the clips properly centered but no problems once it is installed. The first shield arrived with a drooping corner but was promptly replaced with a new perfect one. AutoAnything's customer service made the exchange easy and painless.
