Desert rats, mud boggers, and rock crawlers all agree: stock gear just won’t cut it out in the backcountry. Whether you’re articulating your way across MOAB or blasting over the dunes of Glamis, you have to be ready to rescue your 4x4. When you equip your rig with a Body Armor Front Bumper, you’re armed to pull yourself out of the stickiest situations.
With its integrated shackle mounts, burly D-rings, and 2” recovery receiver (depends on model), you’re always ready to reel yourself out of trouble with a Body Armor Front Bumper. Plus, its steering box skid plate (depends on model) defends your critical components while you’re scrapping your way over boulders.
What’s more, your Bumper is built to be bulletproof. The heart of this bumper is wrought from 2” x 5”, 3/16” rectangular steel tube with welded, enclosed ends. And, the 4-mil black powder coating wards off rust, chipping and fading.
What’s more, these Bumpers come in a range of styles. Pick from the standard base bumper or upgrade with welded hoops to protect your grille and headlights. They all bolt directly into place using standard hand tools, and each carries a warranty against defects.

I purchased this front bumper for my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, it was easy to install with 2 people and the proper tools. The most difficult part is removing all the pieces from the original bumper. I got a great price with 20% off and free shipping. I recommend it.

This bumper is pretty heavy so it is easier to mount with 2 people... especially if you are putting a winch on it. We mounted the winch first and the put the set on the jeep. Good packing meant no damage in shipping. I like the look (mid width style) with up turned ends. The lower plate is seperate. My 10k Engo winch mounted up easily and the fairlead mounts worked great. Time will tell but, this seems to be a good deal on a good bumper.

Overall I am very happy with the bumper. It looks good, is fairly stout, and with all the discounts, rebates got this for a steal. I originally wanted a bumper with cutouts for the factory fogs but has several pre-drilled light attachment options. The only draw back for me was when I read the product descript it said "bolt-on, no drilling required" but when I opened the installation instructions it stated for the model year I had to bore out the 4 driver side front chassis holes an extra 1/16th plus drill 2 new holes on the sides. Turned out I had to drill all 8 front holes to 3/4" and I still barely got the bolts on. I'm not much of a mechanic and I had to go buy all the tools for this. I also had to drill holes in the bumper to attach my license plate.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered the set, but am very pleased so far. Both were very easy to install and I would say in under an hour I had both factory bumpers off and the new set on. All needed hardware was included and a pretty good set of instructions with decent pictures. Both look great and are a huge improvement over the stock ones. Would order again.

Four Star rated because of the following things, I had to trim the winch mounting plate to provide clearance for a freon line. Also the welds on the bull bar lack desired appearance. The provided shackles were 5/8" and the bumper will accept at least 3/4". I will now have to buy a set of larger ones to help keep the noise down. On a personal preference I will be adding about a 6.5" O-ring between the PIAA 520 lights and the bumper to eliminate another noise. Did the install my self and don't have any other issues. Good product for FJ.
