Smittybilt XRC Front Bumpers Reviews

Wrangler/XRC

Reviewed By Michael S. A (North Las Vegas, NV) Reviewed for a 1991 Jeep Wrangler —11/16/2011 2:46 PM

I just installed the XRC bumper and spare tire swing arm on a 1991 Wrangler. Everything was great and the appearance is awesome. The only issue I had was it required 2 grade 8 bolts for the bottom corners which were listed as 14m in the instruction manual. They are actually 3/8" course thread grade 8 bolts that are needed to fit the existing threaded holes on the Wrangler frame. Certainly no major issue. Also I received the bumper in 4 days from the day I ordered it. Couldn't have asked for anything more. Thanks.

Fellows Creek Boondocker

I purchased both the front and rear bumbers as well as the side bars. The rear bumper was installed with the Smittybilt hitch. The qualtiy and accuracy of the product manufacture were excellent. Very well packed, greatly protected by the use of a strong package ans good p[adding. The installation was quick and the parts look great on my older 1991 Wrangler. Delivery was exceptionally quick and I had the parts in a few short days. I would storngly recommend this product.

Gorgeous Bumpers

Reviewed By Joseph S (LEXINGTON, SC) Reviewed for a 2004 Jeep Wrangler —1/4/2016 7:21 AM

I purchased the front and rear bumper in this line. These bumpers look fantastic. The flat, textured finish looks awesome. They are solid and exude excellent quality. The front bumper installed in minutes. But, with good there is always bad. The rear bumper is almost impossible to install on a TJ. The reason being, there is no room whatsoever between the rear frame and the gas tank. This makes it virtually impossible to install the nuts on the mount bolts. Self tapping bolts would be better.
