It may take some big balloons—tires that is—to tackle the trails, but it doesn’t take a big bumper. In fact, when you attack the backcountry with the Rampage Front Stubby Recovery Bumper, bigger is most certainly not better.
The stubby, narrow design reduces the bumper length so you can run monster tires with a maximum suspension travel setup. This way your tires never rub, and the reduced overhang allows for the most aggressive approach and departure angles. Try that with a factory bumper!
Crafted from 3/16” steel plate, the Rampage recovery bumper is built trail tough. And, thanks to the integrated 2” diameter stinger, winch plate and welded D-ring shackles, this multi-purpose Rampage front bumper is an indispensable tool—both off and on the road. And the best part, Rampage backs your Front stubby Recovery Bumper with a Lifetime Warranty.

You can tell by the weight and finish that this is a high quality bumper. The installation was simple and bolts right on without any problems and without cutting or having to move the pump like some other bumpers. The Jeep has lots more clearance and looks so much better. Most importantly AutoAnything had a can't beat price!

The bumper arrived quickly and well packaged. It is rather heavy, which is a good thing, but one should ask a buddy to assist in lifting it on to your frame. It fit perfectly without modification on my Wrangler JK. The included shackles and winch plate adds value and efficiency to the product and installation. No countersunk allen bolts were included to attach the winch to the plate, so I went trip to my helpful hardware man and was good to go. If you get stuck, this bumper will get you out.

Is there a way to mount the required license plate on the bumper?
Answered by Anonymous — Dec 01, 2012 10:19 PM
There are three ways to accomplish this; 1. Mount the Lic. plate to a steel plate then to the winch plate. (Only if You do not intend to use the winch plate for a winch. 2. Drill and tap two holes approximately 2-1/2 inches below the top of the bumper. Then mount the plate to the bumper using screws that match the tapped holes. 3. Attach 2, 100 pound magnets to the bumper. Mount the Lic. plate to a steel plate, then attach the steel plate to the magnets.
