The vacuum works well and really does what it is supposed to do but the way the top attaches to the base is a huge design flaw in my eyes. When your using it, any pressure put on the suction end and the head of the vacuum disconnects. It's not attached like a cover to a jar, but its a connect and twist on these two little pins which can't handle any pressure. I suppose if you bought the hose that comes as an attachment, the pressure would be on the hose and not on the top of the vacuum.

I used the Metropolitan 500 vacuum for the first time today and am very impressed with the suction and efficacy of this little tike. For its size I've not seen a comparable car vacuum to date. I like the ease of use and its easy to get into tight spots. I have ordered the 3 foot hose for the vacuum as it gets a bit heavy and unwieldy in some areas of use. Overall I am impressed and pleased that I came across this ad in Panorama Magazine (PCA Club magazine).

It suits the purpose. The sucion was not as strong as I woul dhave liked but it seems to do the trick. It also didn't have a thin enough attachment that fits in the areas between the seats where you need the most attention. Overall, happy with the look, cost, and function.

I like the vac but , there is a few things I would have liked seen added;another handle of sorts.I have to put my other hand somewhere in the back of the machine to even the weight Leaving just the one hand on the top there just enough weight that makes it hard to control. If you come up with another idea let me know!!I also think it cold be the handle it may be too thin.In my opinion I don't think a women could handle it. thank you donald

Overall, this vac works pretty well. Suction is adequate for the job. Nothing spectacular. The on-off switch is in an awkward place. It should be at the front where you can reach it with the same hand you are vacuuming with.

I wish, I now ordered the rechargeable battery operated one for my Ford Escape instead of the ac plug type. It has so much power that it is too powerful for my ac plugin in my vehicle. I now have to run a extension cord to my car from the house, kinda a drag.

Do you think I get a flex hose(around 3 feet long) with this set? If so, about how much would it be?

I am wondering what the dimensions of the portable vaccum are. I travel for snowboarding, and my jackets, pants, gloves, take up alot of room, so I am looking for a small light portable/rechargeable vaccum to work with storage bag systems which suck the air out and make the clothing smaller. I will be traveling so the lighter the better. Thanks Nicolas
