Just ordered a gallon size of Griots Garage Carpet Cleaner.  I had the 35oz bottle prior and used it all up.  It became the defalt cleaner for dog messes in the house one time when we ran out of Resolve and it did a great job we use it for all messes now.  Also did a decent job getting a few old cool-aid stains from our light toupe colored carpet.  Also, it does not have an odor when you are done... sometimes a good thing, sometimes not.  I kind of like the "smell" of cleaners as it makes the house smell like you did something, but it does get clean, just may not smell it!

I previously bought the smaller bottle and it worked so well that when I had used that up bought the gallon refill.  I use this with the Griot's carpet brush with outstanding results.

This carpet cleaner was able to clean stains as a result of spilled drinks, gum, candy, ice cream that has fallen on the floor of my SUV.  I would recommend this if you transport kids in your car.

The biggest problem I have with it is that my wife keeps taking it every time she needs to clean anything in the house! In addition to cleaning some stains off our white carpeting, she used it to remove some marks on the sofa covers that she was washing. When she inadvertently spilled some on the sun room floor tile we discovered how much dirt was on the surface of that tile that had not been removed  by other cleaners. I bought the gallon size but they really should sell it in five gallon sizes also! Oh, by the way, it cleans car carpets too.
