The Evolution 4 is the natural selection when you want your car cover to do it all. The Kimberly-Clark fabric is cut to custom fit your vehicle.
The Evolution 4's tough exterior can withstand acid rain, industrial pollutants, tree sap, even bird droppings. The core layers block minute dust particles, yet allow air to circulate. The super-soft underside babies your vehicle. And, all the layers combine to provide a thick, impact-resistant shield. Plus, the entire cover is breathable for fast drying after storms.
Made in the USA and it comes with a 4-year warranty. Darwin would be proud.
Our 940+ Covercraft Evolution 4 Car Cover customer reviews have an average rating of 4.50 out of 5 stars. To see specific reviews about your vehicle, please select your year, make and model from the drop down above.

After much research on the best car cover for my daily driver BMW 330CI, I chose the Evolution 4 Cover. Then chose to order from AutoAnything after researching different online sites...best decision I made on both the cover and website. Awesome & easy ordering...cover is fantastic and fits like a glove. I ordered the GustGuards, but cover fits so well I believe the only time I will need them is perhaps in a hurricane. I could not be happier with this cover! Highly recommended !

I am using this cover on an Acura ILX. This is my 3rd Evolution 4 car cover I have purchased. The 1st 2 were for Mini Coopers. Having had 2 previous covers, and living on Long Island, I can say they stand up to all types of weather.Once they break in, they are very easy to handle and do a great job at protecting your car.

I received the car cover and it dose not fit. I have sent pictures of it and know I'm told to send more pictures. I sent the first shots of the car where the problem is at the mirror It fix the driver side but will not cover the passenger side

I purchased this cover based on the experience I have had with a similar cover for our Lexus SC300. That cover fits perfectly, the cover I recently received for our '08 MX-5 GT (which has a very similar, albeit smaller shape) fit's so poorly that it will likely be returned if I can find one that is truely tailored to the car. This new top is so baggy across the hood and behind the rear window that I wonder if it is actually a generic conceived to fix several cars, but none very well.

Even though it is not 100% waterproof, it does the job well. The custom fit for our '84 Pontiac Firebird works great! Had high winds last week, and the cover was not tied down, and it never budged. This car cover is being used on this car that has been recently repainted and we feel VERY confident with the softness of THIS particular brand. We also have this on our '78 Trans Am which works very well. We are very picky on how soft the underside is.

Does the cover protect against Texas hail damage?

Hi, Sorry, a traditional car cover won't protected from hail. A garage is a safer bet.

what about HAIL damage is this car cover 100% gauranteed that there will be no damage from the severe weather of hail?
Answered by Andrew B. — Nov 27, 2012 11:52 AM
There aren't any fabric based car covers that will offer that sort of guarantee. Your best best will be a garage for a 100% guarantee!

If I get home and it is raining, can I still put the cover on or no?
Answered by Andrew B. — Nov 27, 2012 11:51 AM
You can, but you will likely be covering it with rain underneath the cover which isn't ideal. But as long as you take it off within a few days of the storm and give your car a wash, you'll be good to go.

If I take the cover off while it is wet, say after a rain, can I put it in the carrying bag and still expect it to dry, and not mildew? Or do I have to store it someplace until it dries? I have no garage. Robert
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Aug 28, 2012 3:12 PM
Hello Robert. It would be best if it were stored once it is dry. If this is impossible, I suggest shaking the cover out, to rid it of the worst water, and since the cover is designed to be fast-drying, leave it to dry the rest of the way in the bag. With this scenario, it would be important to regularly wash (see the cleaning tab on the product page) the cover to prevent mildew. Thank you for your question.

In the description, it says "The super-soft underside babies your vehicle." Specifically is this some sort of fleece type lining? I ask because I have had issues with mice that actually ate and used the insulation-type material on the sound insulation lining piece that is under the hood on the Jetta. I don't want anything the mice might find suitable for nest building. Thanks

Do the custom covers provide the same coverage when the car has the load bars attached? The bike/ski/snowboard trays will not be attached, just the load bars themselves.
Answered by Nathan S. — Jul 30, 2012 1:51 PM
The cover was designed with a bare roof in mind and may fit poorly if you leave the load bars attached.

I have an antique auto with an added outside mirrow. The basic cover when designed for the car says nothing about an external mirrow. Is there enough slack for the cover to fit over the mirrow?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jun 29, 2012 2:48 PM
Hey James, Covercraft custom designs the car cover for your specific year, make, model and trim level. So, if your vehicle has mirrors from the factory, the cover will have a spot for them. If the mirror is not from factory, there will be no spot for it.

And what does it do?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jun 15, 2012 4:02 PM
Those are clips that attach to the bottom of the car cover to help keep the cover from being blown off in a sudden gust of wind.

is this a decent cover for hail? not unusually large just basic?
Answered by Trevor K — Oct 28, 2010 8:16 PM 2010 BMW 5-Series
this cover is a medium thickness. it's not light like the weathershield nor is it extremely thick and bulky like the evolution 4. for just basic hail to protect against dings i think this is a good bet. if you have significant hail regularly i would maybe go with the ev-4. The problem is that the ev-4 is more difficult to take on and off while this one is very manageable.
