I have had this cover on the car for one year, and the cover is tearing at various places including around the headlights and at the top line of the windshield. The environment is a suburb of NYC with significant sun exposure, although not total, as in a completely open lot. It is shielded by neighboring building during part of the day. This appears to be a one year throw away product.

Does this product block tree sap?
Answered by Nathan S. — Apr 22, 2013 7:42 AM
Hi, That depends on the consistency of the tree sap and the duration the truck will be left under the tree. I can safely say sure, but in small amounts.

Can't I just order this car cover without a storage bag, locking system, etc? I don't need any of that stuff.

what is best way to rinse dust off the cover?

Hello Roy. The Triguard cover can be easily cleaned by washing while on a vehicle. Use common carwash detergent, and air dry. Hope that helps.

Will this fit over the mirrors?
Answered by Elizabeth C. — Jul 02, 2012 9:01 AM
Covercraft custom designs the car cover for specific year, make, model and trim level. So, if your vehicle has mirrors from the factory, the cover will have a spot for them.

Is this car cover water proof. Thanks David
Answered by Michael K. — Jan 23, 2012 10:23 AM
Hi David, though the car cover is designed to protect from elements, including rain, they are not specifically "waterproof." High-quality covers are designed to let moisture escape from under the cover, so they are more "water resistant" than waterproof.
