Description

Coverking scoured the globe for 15 years, seeking a mill that could make the perfect all-weather car cover fabric. The result was the Stormproof Custom Car Cover, in both name and performance. With an unconventional natural weave of microscopic yarns made exclusively in a small location in Japan, Coverking has achieved a cover nearly impervious to rain, snow, ice and extreme sun.

What’s even more amazing, the Stormproof Custom Car Cover fights all of the elements without needing any chemical treatments or coatings. This means your car cover performs the same great paint-protecting duties for years—not months. And, the tight weave is still highly breathable, allowing all trapped heat and moisture to escape.

As if there weren’t enough features for one fabric, the Stormproof material is completely paint-safe. Plus, the cover is extremely lightweight for ease of handling, folding and storage. Your Stormproof Custom Car Cover comes in a host of solid and ual-tone colors and is backed by a 2-year warranty.

Notes

  • The Stormproof Car Cover is custom manufactured and made to order for your specific vehicle. If the product is returned or the order is canceled once the cover is in production, a 25% restocking fee will apply.

"Nice cover- but I think it fits too tight and eventually I will see ripped seams The last Coverking StormProof cover failed after only 2 years- it woould no longer shed the water- and it finally ripped. I think a $250 cover should hold up better than that- but I still bought another one- I guess I'll see how long it lasts this time"

Stormproof Cover for 1995 Porsche 911 in Winter

"I am planning on storing my car outside for the winter under the stormproof cover. I have a GT2 wing on my car and this is the first cover that has fit properly, which is wonderful. The cover is very light and thin, which does not lend itself to suggesting how resistant it will be. I did not see any markings on the cover or the box indicating that this was a stormproof cover, so I'm really hoping the right product was sent - we'll see how it holds up over the winter."

"This is the fourth cover I have used for my 1987 IROC Z-28 Camero and the Coverking is by far the best. In terms of price it tilts to being a good buy. The quality and fit are excellant. I have not owned this cover long enough to test how it will perform after washing, but intications are it should last for years."

"I purchased a cover for my late model Black Jaguar XJ8 VDP in Black Storm Proof. I like everything about it. The fit in the corners is slightly less than perfect, but quite good. Even though, it's black, the dust is easily removed with a soft brush. It then does not get on the underside when I roll the cover for storage. The cover prevents dust from getting on the car and keeps the car dry except in extreme weather and hail, when I usually top it with a 4 ply cover. The Storm Proof cover is outstanding and is very easy to use. I am very demanding, yet I highly recommend this cover. David"

"I have tried several covers over the years with different end results. This is the best cover I have had. It fits well with good elastic in the front and rear under the bumbers. Good rear view mirror pockets. It will never blow off unless perhaps in a hurricane. I am very satisfied and would reccomend it to anyone."

"The cover is well made, light, breathable and water reesistant. Compared to some heavier covers that I have owned, the stormproof material feels soft as silk. The only negative is if you are looking for your cover to prevent dings and hail damage, this fabric is probably too light to help you."

"This is the second Storm-Proof I've purchased. The fabric is very strong and durable, and the best thing for me is that the cover stays on in consistent winds of 20-35 mph. While the fit for my Acura is very good, the fit for the Honda Insight is actually too tight between the front bumper and mirrors, so that there is pulling stress on the seams for the mirror pockets. I expect I will have to reinforce it there. But the good thing is that while the Acura cover blew off about once every two weeks (it is VERY windy in this part of Maui), the Honda Insight itself will probably blow away before the cover comes off, it's that tight--not only is it very tight fitting, they have made the elastic about twice as strong as it was two years ago when I bought the Acura cover."

For outdoors: StormProof, not Triguard

"A year ago we ordered a Coverking Triguard cover. We were very pleased with the workmanship and fit. Over a year, though, the fabric degraded badly. Our fault, really: it's completely exposed outdoors in full sun, and the manufacturer doesn't really recommend it for that purpose. Now we've got a StormProof, which is recommended for outdoor exposure. Fit and workmanship are (again) excellent. We expect it to last much longer. It's also much more compact (when rolled up) than the triguard. These covers are custom-designed for each car model, and it shows. Even in our very windy area, they don't need tie-downs or anything. They fit so tightly that they aren't in danger of blowing off."

"The same day I tested out my new cover there was a storm that night to put it to test. I was able to put the cover on relatively quick, even with the lock. It held up good, but the back end did fly up and had to be pulled back down. The wind was pretty strong so I guess I should have expected that, in other storms the next couple days it held up just fine. Very nice quality."

"The cover looks awesome. Its fits great; however it is a little tough to get on the mirrors. Easy to put on with 2 people, but not too bad by yourself. It protects againist everything: sprinklers, dirt, the light rain I've had, and bird droppings. So far I couldn't be happier. The tight fit helps the cover stay on in breezy conditions. Can't realy say much for heavy rain or wind as I've had none yet. The only down side was my order was backordered and then delayed, making the delivery date 1.5 weeks later than orginally stated. That and my lock and cable came 2 days after the cover; however, I had to call in."

"The cover looks great and works well provided there is not a strong wind. The front of the cover tends to blow off despite an excellent fitment. I would suggest some bungie cords with hooks on the front and back to hook into under the bumpers to the manufacturer of this product to make it truly "storm proof". Otherwise, it is a beautiful cover, that protects the car well."

"I liked the idea that this was a single-layer with no coatings using a special hitech woven fabric that offers all of the protection of much heavier multilayer covers. I've used it outdoors for only a month in the winter in North Carolina and it seems to be good. The fit and finish are excellent , with double-stitched seams and protective fabric over the plastic grommets to prevent contact with paint. It has held up well to rain, bird droppings and tree sap, all of which, amazingly, just roll off or are easily wiped off of the smooth silky surface. I mean even tree sap - it just does not stick and is ealily wiped off with a dry cloth! In summary, it looks and works well after one month. Time will tell how long it holds up."
