Ultratect Cover

This is our second Ultratect and fifth Covercraft cover. I like this one compared to my Weathershield covers as it is a little heavier and seems more durable. The fabric is soft and the seams appear to have a heavier thread than the Weathershield covers. We'll see how it stands up to the Florida sun on our Subaru Crosstrek.

Best Overall Value Storm Proof Car Cover

I formerly had a CoverKing Mosum Plus on my Shelby Durango that ripped apart during a rain storm with 50+ mph Chicago winds. The cover blew off and then someone stole the loose car cover. I then purchased a Cover Craft Ultratect which fit much better (not too tight that it will rip apart) and with the optional cable lock nobody is stealing this one. We had crazy 70 mph winds last week & the front end elastic slipped up to the bumper, but the cover took a beating & still stayed intact. A+ cover.

So far I'm very happy with the car cover. I have a concern about how waterproof it is though. I live in Southwest Florida and we get a lot of rain. I was told that the cover would be waterproof. Yesterday I noticed that after more than 24 jour since the last rain my car was wet under the cover. Should this be happening?

Covercraft Ultratect vs. Weathershield HP or HD Life

I've purchased 6 Weathershield HP or HD covers for various cars. While they are light weight and you can easily hose off dirt, they all have had the stitching fail within weeks of the warranty expiring. Actually, one failed before the warranty expired and I got a new cover. After spending time re-sewing the stitching, the fabric would fail 6-10 months later. I chat'ed with a rep at AutoAnything. She recommended the Ultratect material. It -IS- more sturdy. We'll see how it holds up.

Took a little longer to get here than first stated. I have to say it was worth the wait!! It's more of a light weight sunbrella type material, which I hope will last a long time. The fit is perfect. The only item I wouldn't purchase again was the wind tie downs. They don't stay clipped, but, the fit seems to keep the cover in place.
