Fit is extremely good. Thickness of cover and slight cushion is better than most, should protect against minor impact or contact.

I live on California's Central Coast where the weather is mild and restrict my driving to areas that are not susceptible to snow or heavy rain. This light-weight cover is perfect for these conditions. Its reflective surface keeps my car from overheating on a hot day and does not allow water to penetrate when it rains. Best of all, it folds/rolls easily into a very compact package that takes up little trunk space.

I have bought 4 covers over a period of ten years and the last two purchased, within the last year, are the best ever. Longer sides hold the cover on better and even keeps the tires cleaner. It's thinner, lighter weight and sheds water like a duck. The only thing I would like to see is more Covercraft tags. The one on it is great for shakin water off while breaking the surface tension that keeps the water on the outside of the cover. When I grab the cover elsewhere it becomes wet.
