How to Put on a Car Cover: The Truck and Car Cover Install Guide

Putting on a Car Cover

  • Remove your car cover from its bag.
  • Locate the front of the car cover—this is marked with a “front” tag sewn to the inside of your cover. Secure the cover at your front bumper.
  • Pull the rest of the cover over your vehicle and secure under the rear bumper.
  • If you don’t have a retractable antenna, you’ll want to mark the spot where the antenna hits the car cover. Then, apply an adhesive-backed patch to that spot and punch a hole in the center of the patch.

Nice cover. Strong material with an interesting design. It fits well and has a little extra room, though it's a nice fit.. After a down pour the other night, it tried by morning. I'm quite happy with this purchase. I now own 2 of these covers for different vehicles .. I would consider paying the 20 dollar order quick fee, since it took around a month for the first cover to ship with regular production times. While the quick production version took a week or so to get here. Great product, would order again!

So far, so good! This is a nice light weight cover that fits perfectly on my car! I've only used this cover for about two weeks, but I would say it was worth the price. Once I learned how to roll it on and later off, it was just a 1-2 min effort. I can easily slide the rolled up cover in the storage bag, which I was a little concerned about doing by myself. This is certainly more money than other cheaper covers...but you get what you pay for!

mirror pockets

are the mirror pockets on the cover or do they have to be cut in ?

Covercraft custom designs the car cover for specific year, make, model and trim level. So, if your vehicle has mirrors from the factory, the cover will have a spot for them. The same is true for antennas and other factory features.

Reflect on this question?

Will this cover have spots for my mirrors? I have added larger than factory mirrors for towing, can I have them added?

Hi, yes, it will have spots for mirrors, but only if they're factory installed. It will not cover aftermarket towing mirrors, for that you may want to check out a universal cover.
