We are seeking a Data Department Manager to join our growing team. The Data Department Manager will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the product data in order to create the optimal experience for the web customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implement, refine and maintain skills training plan for data team
  • Design, implement, refine and maintain processes, workflow and quality
  • measurement protocols for data operations
  • Hire, develop and retain a team of knowledgeable and capable data product specialists
  • Maintain and grow product base of more than five million SKUs using the company’s proprietary backend interface
  • Act as key stakeholder and business area owner for the Data Department
  • Strategize for future direction of the Data Department
  • Develop workflow specifications and requirements by working and coordinating with IT
  • Lead process and workflow development of interdepartmental activities relating to product data, including interfaces with Content, Merchandising, Purchasing and Sales

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to junior and senior staff as well as to the executive level
  • Previous supervisory experience at the Department level managing a staff of 10 or more
  • Ability to maintain accurate and complete records and documentation
  • Proven ability to project manage and schedule in a production environment
  • Ability to process information and procedures through internal systems
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to shift priorities
  • Team-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Superior trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to use internet and intranet systems to search and find answers and solutions
  • Solid understanding of English grammar and spelling

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (INCLUDING CERTIFICATIONS):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or equivalent years of experience in related field
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a supervisory/management role
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ecommerce experience preferred
