Canvasback of Idaho for '07 Santa Fe

Posted on 11/17/2007 by Kristin W. - 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe (Tiverton,RI)

"The fit and look of the product are great. It matches perfectly to the form of the cargo area. The only complaint is that it did not have openings for the tie downs or for the storage box which makes accessing those parts difficult. I was disappointed as that is what is shown in the photograghs."

Canvasback - 2007 Pacifica

Posted on 11/05/2007 by Michael K. - 2007 Chrysler Pacifica (Flemington,NJ)

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"I had a rear gear liner for my previous vehicle. But they didn't make one for my new Pacifica. So I tried the canvasback. Both the rear gear and this canvasback are great- I work as an environmental consultant so I need to occasionally throw some slop in the back of the vehicle and need something to keep the cargo area clean. I had my last vehicle for 6 years and when I went to trade it in I just took the rear gear out and it was as good as the day I bought it. The canvasback I actually prefer to the rear gear. Both are nice and heavy duty material that cleans right off. But canvas back just covers the carpeted areas and so is a bit more fitted and neat looking. The rear gear goes up the sides of the cargo area to cover the plastic bits. I thought I'd miss that but after having he canvas back for a while I prefer not having that. The plastic wipes right up so there's no real need for me to cover it and it just looks much neater and more polished with the canvasback. A couple minor things they could make better- the pacifica like many vehicles has a small compartment under the cargo floor- I keep my towing ball and some cleaning supplies in there so i occasionally want to get in there. The canvas back covers the floor perfectly and sticks down to the carpet with Velcro-like strips sewed in. They hold it in place really good. Bad side of that is when you want to get into the little storage compartment you have to rip it up off the carpet- I'm a little weary the carpet is going to get warn or fuzzy in those areas like used Velcro loops gets over time. Second- the liner is really nice and covers the whole floor. Up the backs of the 3rd and 2nd row seats. The Pacifica has a flap that folds off one of the second row seats so that when seats are folded flat the depression over the center console can be made perfectly flat. The canvasback people even included a cover for that! My minor complaint is the instructions were very generic so it took some trial and error to figure out how to attach it all so the fo"

"I can't tell if it's worth protecting my carpet from the mud and hair of my dogs -- to have the interior carpeting ripped off the back of the seats by the velcro used by this product...probably not :( Mind you, this happened within a week of installing the Canvasback lining."

Pros/Cons

Posted on 09/27/2007 by Dee M. - 2007 Toyota Highlander (San Angelo,TX)

"The fabric is great! Dog hair does NOT adhere - vacuums up very quickly. The velco works well also - stays in place. However, it does not fit my 2007 Highlander Hybrid W/3rd row fold seat well. Velco strips are sewn where there is no fabric to adhere to and the seat belts on 3rd row interfear with proper fit."

good workmanship/material/lousy fit

Posted on 09/02/2007 by Bruce S. - 2007 Toyota Rav4 (Monroe Township,NJ)

"The material is of good quality, and the workmanship is better than expected. The fit leaves a lot to be desired. The "canvasback jacket" was installed in a 2007 Toyota Rav4. Maybe the fit is acceptable in other auto makes and models. 4 stars for the overall product 1 star for satisfaction due to fit. Own a Rav4? --- keep shopping."

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful.

"This is my first Canvas Jacket. The intended concept is terrific. I like the fabric of the Canvas Jacket. However, I am VERY disappointed in the fit of the jacket. It is too small for the 2008 Escape hybrid. I think for the price, I expected a much better fit. Thanks for the opportunity to express my concerns. Reggie"

"We are so happy with these jackets because we had no idea how they would fit or how to put them on - it was so simple not only do they fit well they provide such great coverage just from all the baseball, softball gear that we have for the kids. They truly look just like the picture. Thumbs up from our family of five. :)"

Not what I expected

Posted on 04/21/2007 by Mary L. - 2005 Ford Escape (Kenmore,WA)

"from reading other reviews I thought the installation would be quite easy - it wasn't. It was quite difficult until I threw out the directions & just used some common sense. The velcro which attaches the seat covers to vehicle is so strong that is pulled the carpet out of my cargo area & it had to be re-installed. Whole installation process was unpleasant! Once in it is going okay."

4runner Canvas Jacket

Posted on 04/03/2007 by Peter P. - 2006 Toyota 4Runner (Fort Lauderdale,FL)

"Good concept and it works great. Not too difficult to install, either. The cut isn't exact; it's a little big but I resolved that by pushing the excess material under the trim. The color matches nicely with the interior and it looks good."

Not quite there

Posted on 02/27/2007 by Amanda B. - 2006 Toyota Rav4 (San Jose,CA)

"It almost works. Unfortunately the velcro areas don't stick to the material in the cargo area. Because of where it is designed to be placed, it ends up hitting the back of leather trimmed seats so doesn't stick at all to the back of the top of the seats. It would be nice to have a bit of a lip on the sides to catch any spills - spilled water ran down the side of the liner and into the cargo area mat and behind the rear seat. I'll need to do some modifications to keep it in place, and still will have the problem with any spills."

Clean at Last, Clean at Last !!!

Posted on 02/09/2007 by Robert S. - 2004 GMC Yukon XL Denali (Ottawa Hills,OH)

"I have the 2004 3/4 ton Yukon Xl with QuadraSteer etc. etc. Loaded. My buddy Sam, a 9 year old Springer is with me the majority of the time and so are his dog odors and what have you. Just had the car detailed again and installed the canvas back liner. FANTASTIC GMAC should offer these when they sell the units. Will definately save on keeping the back clean, I usually drive with the middle seats down and have takenout the back seat. Great product and great fit.. The it is important and thjis baby fits as if someone did their homework. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another or reccomend to others"

Posted on 10/02/2006 by Alexander S. (Murphy,NC)

"Generally happy. It would make me happier if the seat back covers overlapped with cargo area liner when the rear seats backs are folded down; the bottom of the rear seats were covered when rear seat are folded up; my dogs didn't slide around every time I make a turn so I have to cover the liner. Overall, though, it's a good thing."
