I bought this mat as I have a four legged family member who likes to travel everywhere and every time I go out in the car. Her short white hair embeds itself into fabric in a way that even the most powerful of vacuum cleaners struggle to get it out. I am satisfied that it will work well for this application. Only drawback is that one side was cut in a manner that fits poorly in my application.

I was looking for a cargo blanket with that extra "lip" to flip out over the back bumper for when my dog jumps into the car (protect from scratches from her nails). For some reason I thought that the cargo cape was big enough to go from the back part of a van/SUV to attach to the back of the front row. However, given that I've a 2012 Golf R and it fits perfectly, then obviusly that isn't the case. So, just keep in mind that if you have a van/SUV, the blanket will only go to the back of the second row of seats. If you have a small hatchback or something similar like I do, it'll go exactly to the back of the front row. It's great and sturdy, and I love the velcro that helps keep it in place (not totally crazy that it pulls the fabric but I'm willing to live with that given the upsides).
