In order to be able to lift only one of the third-row seats they have a split, which allows dirt, etc to fall in the crack. In order to keep liquids from going into the split, you also have humps, which means that it isn't flat in the middle. Finally, in order to keep the liner from being higher than the seat back when the seats are lifted up, the liner is one foot too short, which means that a foot of your rear area is unprotected when the seats are down, which is 99% of the time. Personally, I take me liner out when using my third-row seats, so all this enginnering is wasted on me. I sent them back (at my expense, of course).
