"With diesel at $5.40 per gallon it is worth every bit of the price of this locking gas tank cover to know that nobody can syphon my tank. It looks good on the truck too."

Locks keep honest people honest.
Still can't believe Toyota didn't equip these trucks with a locking gas cap door in the first place."

"looks great! Bought solely to keep gas siphoners away. Instalation was a breeze except frozen screw holding old door. Very high quality material & secure locking mechanism. Great price for a great product! Although I modified it b/c door had small gap where lock holds it shut, now its flush and looks awesome!"

"It only took about 30 minutes to install on my chevy colorado. It looks great and functions well, but the manufacturer could have left alittle more detail on the installation instructions. Have a can of WD-40 ready for the bolts that holds the gas neckup to the inside of the body, and be ready to just snap them off anyway. There is no way you are going to hold the inside of it while you turn the bolts with out taking off your fender flare kit."

"This product fit perfect and only took a few minutes to install with only a flat screwdrive, and a star & hex wrench set. I had a locking gas cap prior but the vacuume venting was a problem and caused problems with the vehicle running proper, so now back with the origional gas cap. I needed a way to keep my gas tank locked with fuel cost and people stealing gas and this fuel door works perfect and it looks great. The only modification I would make would be adding the little hitch to hold the cas cap inside the door like the origional door had as you fill the tank. Anyone now who wants to steal my gas will need to drill it out from the tank and set off the alarm if they don't blow themselves up first!"

"The Hummer H3 has a slight curve to the quarter panel at the top where the
gas intake is located. The AMI fuel door doesn’t have this slight curve at its
top, because of this, the AMI fuel door doesn’t have a flush fit. Other than
this, IT’S GREAT! GREAT LOOKING!"

"I was pleased with the ease of installation. I wish it were easier to bolt in, but you are dealing with the confined space of the fuel door area (no way around it...). I really like the looks of of the new door. Wish the new door had a place to hook the stock cap to like the factory one did...."

"product looks great. fit took alot of work. I had to do alot of tweaking to get it to look the way i wanted it to. i had to drill some holes larger inside the truck to get the right alignment. This was not a big deal but was not in the instructions. Also the door and cover are 100% flat. the side of my blazer has a slight curve. So with it mounted it stuck out 1/8" at the top and bottom. i have bent the cover slightly to compensate. I am happy with the product now but like i said took some work to get to look the way i wanted it to."

"My friend's husband installed it for me (actually guided my 14 year old); said it was easy. Looks good, although it is a flat black on my shiny black car. Only caveat: my friend's husband mentioned that someone with a screwdriver designed for that screw could simply unscrew the door to remove the door and access the gas. That said, it'll keep the "honest folks honest" and nothing keeps out the real thugs looking to steal your gas anyway...heck they are now even cutting gas lines to get your fuel. Overall, a worthwhile purchase."

"AMI's fuel door is beautiful and practical in that it has a built in lock. While many are now purchasing lockable gas caps, the keys appear to be universal, sort of negating their value.
With the AMI fuel door you not only benefit from a very solid fuel door, you have easy access via a unique key, to your fuel pipe. It's sharp, practical and easy to install."
