"I purchased this locking fuel door mainly to deter fuel theft.It seems sturdy enough and fits well.I am happy with this product and would recommend it.Getting the old fuel door out was the tricky part."

"Took a while for shipping, but once i got it, looks fantastic. The hummer looks ten times better then with the standard gas cap opening!!!!And with the price of fuel skyrocketing upwards it now can be locked safe and secure."

"Fairly easy switch with decent instructions. Looks good ... my only complaint is that now I have another key to carry around and make sure I don't lose! It seems odd that Toyota would not have an inside release switch on (at least) their "limited" version of the big, new bold tundra!"

AMI Chrome Locking Fuel Door

"The door looks really great on my truck and the instructions were exactly right, but there were a couple problems. The first was that the 4 nuts included in the kit did not fit on the studs on the back of the fuel door, so I had to find my own. Luckily, I only ended up needing 2 of them. I also had to bore the lower hole in the truck out some for the stud to fit into it, although this may have just been due to a slight bit of corrosion."

"It was easy to install. I had to drill one hole a little bigger to accomodate the mounting screws. It took about 20 minutes to install."

"This product looks great on my Cadillac Escalade. I was surprised by how well it fit. Installation was pretty easy once I figured out that two of the bolts that I thought were missing were already inserted into the bracket and needed to be removed (that's missing in the instructions). I'm very pleased and with the rising price of gas, a locking fuel door gives me a little more peace of mind."

"Its a nice, heavy-duty piece, but it had the following problems: 1.The contour does not exactly match the contour of the Mustang fender 2.The door has some slop in its fit and rattled - I fixed that with a couple of O-rings. 3.The black powercoating had some flaws - again, easily fixed with a rattlecan of semi-flat black paint."

"Just got the Locked type AMI Fuel Door for my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500. It looks sharp and easy to install, about ten minutes. The stainless steel color is great on a black truck."

"Quality manufacturing and easy 15 minute installation process. I would recommend that the manufacturer provide slightly larger (approx 1/8" longer spacers for the hinge portion side of the door because there is a slight variance with the door not being flush with the vehicle. Please don't get me wrong, it looks great but I am also anal when it comes to perfection."
