"I got the polished aluminun locking fuel door for my '07 Dodge 2500. It was easy to install, took around 40 minutes. One problem getting the lock washer on the lower right side, had to omit. But, I think it'll be fine. Looks great, I recommend hitting it with some Meguire's swirl mark remover then a coat of wax. Sweet."

"Took forever to get.Ordered Feb.28 got March 19th.. who knows why . Even AA said your order will be shipped within " these days " but that did not happen. But AA did kept in touch with me even a phonecall telling me info on when I would get it.The AMI fuel door is the best thing I ever put on my Mustang. High quality materials easy to put on, fit well,.. worth the $$$ you pay. Other fuel doors are cheap and made of " ABS " thats plastic for those who live in a cave.Makes your car or truck look like it should be running in a NASCAR race.I bought the nonlocking type black & chrome figured any body with a $5 screwdriver can bust open the locking type and I don"t need one more key to lose."

"Unfortunatly their was no application for a door on my 2006 Ford E350 and I had to modify where the door attatched to the van. But I like the looks and ruggedness of it. AMI has always had a good product"

AMI fuel door for 2004 Chevy Colorado

"The fuel door came in good protective packaging, as a result, not a scratch. I purchased the chrome non-locking fuel door. The installation required a good set of torx drivers to remove the OE door. The install was very easy, just follow the directions. The sits in right on the money..no misalighnment issues, no gaps. Very happy!"

"Got a two tone AMI Fuel Door for my 2007 Silverado Classic. Could have done the installation in 15 minutes if it wasn't so cold and windy. Minor adjustment needed for lock to tightly engage the door when closed."

"I have a "06 Dodge Laramie w/ lots of chrome that came w/it. The AMI chrome fuel door was a great addition. However, I must say in all fairness that it took me more than half hour to install it and be prepared to spend up to 1 hour to do it. I also have to call the contact number because the instruction that came with it was very blurry and unreadable but the customer service was excellent and she faxed me with a very legible copy right away. Also, it's true that you have to do some shimmiing but it's really no big deal. The lower right nut was hard to install from the inside because there's no manuevering room. I still haven't install that nut but the screw stayed on tight perfectly and I'm happy with it nonetheless. I will definitely come back as a customer."

"Lock is cheap. Looks OK but nothing more. The internal "latch" is loose and had to be bent for the door to sit flush. $100 for $20 of materials and time, just doesn't seem right. I will have to spend another 5 hours sanding and painting to match, to get what I am wanting."

"I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He is extremely particular about the items he will put on his truck, and he LOVED this. He put it on right when he opened it. Not to mention, the installation was quick and easy. The people working here were so helpful when I called to make sure I was purchasing the right door, and they also helped me choose the correct shipping to get it here on time. (Sure enough, it was here a few days before Christmas!) This is the best place to get anything auto related. Thanks!!"

06 Ram 2500 Locking Fuel Door

"Great locking fuel door! Get the locking door. Hell, there's $100 in diesel in that tank for some moron to siphon! Grade AAA product. I'm going to make this easy for you. Put Scotch tape over the four bolt heads to keep them from falling out when you insert the door to put the nuts on them, especially if you have big mitts. Fold the tape over on one end for easy removal when you are finished. The nuts on the back of the other two bolts were too thick and I ground them down for a perfect fit. My new door fits perfectly, even a little concave to the truck body. You could also use thinner nuts, but, hey, why buy that bench grinder if you don't use it? The gas cap tether is attached to the old door assembly. After you remove the old door assembly, carefully pull the tether off by twisting. Then take a drill of the same diameter as the hole and drill a hole about half an inch to the left of the fuel fill through the black plastic. Then install the tether in the hole and you can open the new fuel door and hang the cap over the door. Doesn't touch your paint and you will never lose it! This is my third purchase from AA and I still am very pleased with price, service, punctuality, product and ease of purchase. Nasta steps and Husky mud flaps were previous purchases and worked out beautifully. As I said before, if AA were a women I would be in love. Just don't tell the wife or the dog."
