"The installation took no more than 15 minutes. I needed to make only small adjustment to make the screws to seat straight and flush. It gives a cleaner line to the side. the stock door didn't sit flush."

"A little finesse was needed to get the clips and allen screws to line up proper. The finish scratched too easily for my liking during the install around the screw holes on the lip that attaches to the body for the close $100.00 price tag."

"The AMI Locking Fuel Door installed easily according to the enclosed pictoral instructions, which also included step by step instructions on removal of the stock OEM door. The AMI door looks great and serves the security purpose of protecting from fuel theft or vandals adding foreign substances to my fuel tank quite well."

"I have a black F150 and I thought the black fuel cap would be the more aesthetic choice for me. I should note that the fuel cap is a matte black. It doesn't blend in with the shiny black exterior of the truck. I was bothered by this at first (I was expecting something more polished), but now I love it.
Installation is a breeze! The only thing that was a drag was having to modify the locking mechanism. The instructions said that it was possible that the lock would have to be bent or trimmed, and this was the case for me. The lock wouldn't shut until I trimmed about 4mm off with a Dremmel. Sort of a pain, but worth it. I love the product!"

"Sharp appearance. Love the look.
Purchased locking door. Would not lock, had to take the locking lever to shop to get grinded down to fit. I was not aware it would not lock with out having special work done.
The door appears to be to heavy for the plastic door holder. The fit is just not perfect."
