"This unit has made a BIG difference in my F350 tranny temp when towing; about 50 degrees cooler than before when climbing steep grades. Installation took some ingenuity. I decided to mount it outside of the frame rail in the area that is beneath the front passenger seat. I welded a couple of 1" wide strips of 1/16" steel from the bottom of the frame to the inner lip of the body metal. The cooler sits atop these strips, attached via nuts/bolts with the flat side of the cooler facing down. I cut out a 4" section of the existing metal tubing from one of the transmission fluid lines to get the fluid to/from the new cooler via two 5' lengths of oil hose. I mounted the fan switch into my dash behind the transmission shifter arm, using a small "pull/push" type of switch."

"The equipment was outstanding. Installation directions were limited to connecting the cooler to existing fluid lines. Missing was any reference to where to mount the cooler. A telephone call to BD technical assistance suggested mounting the cooler in the truck bed. I opted to mount the cooler behind the front lisence plate, remove the fog lights, and remount the oil cooler in my 2002 F250 rather than putting it in the truck bed."
