Carbon fiber

Carbon fiber finishes are actually simulations of actual carbon fiber weave. Authentic carbon fiber material showcases tiny carbon threads woven into a highly reflective fabric-like appearance with a great deal of shine. Simulated carbon fiber patterns are pressed into the material, emulating the precise weave of true carbon fiber material set into epoxy. Carbon fiber finish patterns are some of the most popular automotive items available today, because of their ultra-modern appearance.

Edsel

Named after one of Henry Ford's sons, the Edsel is by far the Ford Motor Company's most spectacular failure to date. The short-lived Edsel line of automobiles was only built for 3 years (1957-1959) before Ford halted production in the face of embarrassingly low sales and even lower public interest. To this day, the name Edsel is synonymous with commercial catastrophe, like the Betamax.

Isopropyl Alcohol

Isopropyl alcohol is a clear, colorless liquid used in everything from antifreeze compounds to cosmetics. Besides being the main ingredient in rubbing alcohol, isopropyl alcohol is a highly effective solvent for stripping oils, gum and shellac.

The Big Pond

The great pond is the ironic nickname for the Atlantic Ocean, the second largest ocean on Earth. The Oxford English Dictionary documents the earliest usages of the phrase in the year 1641 by early North American colonists, who also called it the great pond and the herring-pond.

UV / Ultra Violet

Ultra violet light, which literally means beyond violet, is an electromagnetic wave of light that is invisible to the human eye, though can be seen by many birds, snakes and insects. The sun emits large amounts of UV radiation, which is mostly filtered out by our atmosphere. What does get through, though, is harmful to our skin and to our upholstery. It dries out the natural oils in leather, and it bleaches color out of vinyl and cloth upholstery.
