Out of concern for hurting the truck's resale value, I took my time. Ordering samples was important as I ended up ordering a different finish after seeing the samples. I chose the carbon graphite finish with the thought that it not show wear. The kit arrived without instructions or the alcohol swabs that the on-line Sherwood video indicated. After reading other reviews, I found that Qtips really helped with applying the alcohol as well as spreading the too small packet of bonding agent. Dry fitting is really important. It seems like every piece of the kit has a critical point of attachment and by dry fitting, I could plan how to install each piece. I had to remove a factory emblem off the console and also remove a trim ring around the shifter so the kit piece fit properly. I used a putty knife to pop off the parts. Overall, the installed kit looks great. I think that Sherwood could do a better job of providing instructions and tips to help first time buyers.
