Sherwood Innovations Dash Kits Reviews

I purchased this for our 2009 Toyota Rav 4 Limited as to me, it looked a bit plain without it, and even with leather just did not fit my conception of a "Limited". The kit seemed a bit overpriced for some pieces of plastic at first glance, but my opinion about its overall value to me changed after installing it. I am now much happier with my car since I put it in. I like the look of wood in a car, as it "warms" the interior. It took a bit long to receive my order, and not all the pieces fit the 2009 interior, as it apparently had changed some, i.e. the (instrument pod surround, and the mirror controls) but I am very pleased with the overall quality of the pieces and the genuine wood-look of the components. Yes, you know it is plastic, but a real good quality of it, as you would find in luxury class cars, like my BMW convertible, other car people will know too, but plastic is better than real wood for automotive applications and looks great anyhow. This kit was well designed by someone with a fine sense of aesthetics. The parts fit well and the installation was simple enough for someone with average handy-person skills to complete in about two hours and once it was finished, the vehicle looked like it came from the factory with it. It definitely does not look like some cheap aftermarket wannabe. The overall effect was to take the vehicle from a very ordinary look, to a very upscale, BMW-Mercedes-Infinity like appearance. I would do this again in a heartbeat.

B&I Dash Kit - Review

Reviewed By Steve D (Peoria, AZ) Reviewed for a 2016 Honda Civic —11/14/2016 8:26 AM

Overall, the B&I dash kit is of good quality and looks good. There was one piece that I had to use super-glue to make it stay adhered to the surface. For what it is, the price is a bit high, as I would image that it only cost the manufacturer about $10-$20 to make the entire kit. If the price was under $100 for the large kit, they would sell 5-10 times more kits, but I would imagine the high price has scared a lot of people away from purchasing it.
