Because it is black, the DashMat does not create a "ghost image" in the windshield which is an obstruction to visibility. I always recommend a dark color for this reason. The cover does not conform completely to the curves in the dash, but it helps protect the dash and create a nice "finished" look to the car interior. I would recommend it to those desiring those features.

I live in Florida and have dash mats in all my vehicles because it keeps the interior cooler. I have always gotten the carpet-style material and been have satisfied. This Suede material seems superior, and I will order this style from now on. It settles more easily into its proper molded shape, fits very well and has a richer look.
