I've used dash mat in the past and they are always fine. The funky shape of the dash on my 1986 Mazda B2000 makes it nearly impossible to achieve a contour fit. Mostly due to the recessed section for sunglasses etc. I'm using way more Velcro than normal to hold it down. Also the cutout for the defroster is too close to the windshield.

DashMats were sized and cut pretty well. Cutouts for light sensors were not present as promised, but were easy to put in. Attachment was an "art". I recommend putting in the Velcro pads for the windshield first and positioning the DashMat, then placing the remaining pads as needed for form and shape working towards the front seat. That avoids hangup on pre-placed pads as you try and put in the windshield portion of the DashMat. Color as brighter than expected, so go dark.
