The cover is one of the most intricate designs, in that it needed to have the screen open to view with the cover in place. It has a flap on the bottom side of the display that one can advance toward the display so that the upper side of the carpet fits just right. There are ample amounts of velcro hooks with adhesive backing to facilitate immobilizing the dash carpet once it is properly positioned. Since the Prius dash is so complex, it requires playing with the nearly vertical segments to get the contours right. When the cover came, it was rolled so that it would fit in the shipping container. It wanted to keep this configuration once removed, so I let the cover straighten itself for about a week before tacking it down with the supplied velcro. There appears to be about one half inch of extra carpet on the very front of it, forward of the defroster cutouts. I have just allowed that to sort itself out on its own, as the rest of the cover, complex as it is generally fits well.
