Not as thick as mats we've had for cars in years past, but it does conform to the Crosstrek dash well and doesn't cover holes it shouldn't. I've had it up on the dash without velcro for awhile and it stays wihtout wiggling. I'll add the velcro soon to get the corners to lay flat.
