Stampede Vigilante Low Profile LP Series Hood Protectors Reviews

Almost fit!

Chev express 3500 van. Had to take the Dremel to it in order to close. Was hitting the inside corner of the headlight on both. Other problem is the screw anchors spin in the holes when trying to tighten. I ended up drilling a hole and used sheet metal screw on the outside holes where the tape is to anchor. Hard to believe no else has had a problem with these as I was told by the manufacture. Would try a different brand next time.

Everything was great except the AVS adhesive applied emblem was located in the wrong spot and crooked. There was adhesive that needed to be removed, on the spot where the emblem should have been.

Clear Stampede VP Hood Protector

Reviewed By Eric T (Auburn, WA) Reviewed for a 2013 Chevy Express —9/3/2013 7:43 AM

Fairly close fit. Works very well. Bugs that even make it past the airstream of the protector are slowed so much in the turbulent air that them just bounce off the wind shield most of the time. My windshield washer sprayers are on the wipers themselves instead of on the hood of the car. So I still get a good spry pattern of wiper fluid. My other car with a similar bug protector I had to re-adjust the spray nozzles on the hood to work and hit the windshield right after I installed it.
