A Bugflector For an Impala

"I was a little surprised there was actually one available for my wife's 08 Impala, but sure enough I found one. She had mentioned a front end "bra" for it, but wasn't sold on it. I gave her this for Christmas and she thinks it's very classy looking. The installation process may have taken 10 minutes, including reading the directions. It gives you the option of mounting it with either the super-stick tape or screws--I chose both for peace of mind, and it was a breeze. I also have one on my Avalanche and these are almost bulletproof, and look really sharp."

"The screws they give you don't work....You have to find some that are a little thicker to make the inserts expand enough for it to stay secure.....Other than that the bug shield fit perfectly...."

"AVS brand by LUND made for a pleasant experience. Instructions were easy to follow and fit was perfect. I could of used a second pair of hands but it's on. Already survived the car wash."

"Appearance and overall rating not "Excellent" only because I prefer the clear bug deflector backpainted to match the color of the vehicle, but given that was not an option, this was my only choice to keep the hood as blemish free as possible. Long story short, the dealer wanted $189 plus installation of $30, but $65 and 5 minutes saved over $150 for the same application. Its not rocket surgery: 5 clips, 5 screws (with washers), and 4 stick on paint protectors. Just do it yourself and save the cash."

"When trying to install the bug deflector the adhesive pads failed to hold the deflector and it fell and scratched my chrome grill. The enginuity of this product is extremely poor. There should be a way to screw/bolt/clip the deflector on the truck. Felt like I would have got a better product from the local flea market."

"The unit is a quality piece of equipment. The fasteners provided do not fit the "existing" holes in the hood. You must drill two holes for them. You really need two people to install the unit....not recommended to do by yourself."

"Overall the product is just what I wanted. My only concern is that there is an oily-like residue (circles) that seems to be difficult to clean. I have only tried buffing it with a soft cloth but it did not work. Please provide me with some guidance on how to remove this without ruining the finish of the Bugflector"

"The bug deflector looks great on my Ford Edge. Installation was fairly easy. The self-tapping screws need some drilling to get them started. other than that, it took minutes to install."

"My car is a 2002 Chevy Malibu. Out of the box and on the car in about fifteen minutes. I found that using the tape in unison with drilling holes worked best. It looks like it came with the car originally! Looks great, works great."

"When I got my bug deflector I couldn't wait to install it. It was 7:30pm when I went outside and installed it on my Envoy. Within 15 mins it was on. It makes my suv look fabulous!!"

"I looked for a bug shield on the internet for a couple of days. I saw many styles and prices points. When I saw the AVS Bugflector on autoanything.com it had the right look at the right price, $67.00. The only concern I had was that the deflector would be of inferior quality because my brother had rear ended some one with my old truck and the replacement deflector the autoshop installed was cheap. It would bend back and forth whenever I would reach hwy speeds. The AVS Bufglector has no such problems. It installed easy, (do not over tighten the 2 screws that hold the deflector to the hood),looks great, and solid."

"YES, it looks good, and it fits, but I've installed several of these and they all went on tighter to the hood and contoured to the underside of the hood better than this one! Yes, it on and yes it fits, but for an item custom made for this vehicle a 4-6 is as good as it gets!"
