"I found the snap in plastic screw holders to small for the pre-drilled holes in the hood. A trip to "Lowes" solved the problem."

"It came promptly, installed easily but I wish they would package an extra mounting plug or two as I dropped one in the engine compartment and could not retrieve it. It looks great and it adds a little something to the appearance of the front of the RAV4. Since it is winter, it is too early to tell how well it deflects bugs and, of course, the jury is still out on its durability. All in all, I am pleased."

"Ordered this on recommendation of many in the Toyota 4Runner online forums. It matches the vehicle well and looks pretty sharp. Appears to be pretty sturdy. The installation wasn't quite as simple as others mentioned but wasn't difficult either. Would recommend for the price here."

"The AVS Bugflector arrived fast and was easy to install. The only problem that I had was that the hood would not latch completly after I had installed it. I thought that the product was defective so I removed it. Once I relised that since the hood on the Pilot needs some force (dropped from about 6 inches),I reinstalled it and gave it some help on the way down and it fit nicely and looks great."

"I have a 2009 Honda Element and anyone who owns one knows that accessories that fit well are often hard to find. This bugflector is perfect and super easy to install. No issues with it getting in the way of the hood release or anything else. I have contemplating buying others in the past but didn't find one I thought I'd like. The price for this was right and fit was perfect. My car looks bad to the t-bone now!"

Great product, but instructions wrong

"The bug deflector seems solid, yet flexible. It looks great. The install instructions were not correct for the 2010 Tundra. They said to remove the applique on the front of the grill to expose five bolts. Don't! The bolts don't exist. Maybe they do on the 2009. I busted three taps getting it off and a replacement costs $75. Luckily, there were enough left on to reinstall it. PLEASE change the instructions."

"Deflector was shipped promptly and packaged well. Installation went ok but I didn't use the little bumpers as I determined the deflector would not bend back far enough to touch the car body. It looks good."

"Overall is great. The only installation issue involves the holes not qite lining up with the exiting fastner locations. I had to open up one of the holes on the deflector with a file to make work."

"Easy enough to install, the screws don't necessarily fit in easy but it's workable. Jury is out on whether it actually deflects rocks which is why I bought it."
