the installation was not as easy as stated. The two middle screws went in very easy. The two outside screws needed a little tweaking(the factory hardware was not very user friendly. Had to use screws and anchors that I had to make it work) in order to get them installed. Overall it only took about 20 min to install. The savings 49.99 vs factory 168 was enormous.

The two plastic fastners (screw have short necks making them hard to hold. I have bought a set for my 2012 Highander and now 2013 Highlander for my daughter and found the same problem. I had to purchase the fastners from O'Reiley's. Please review the kit for practicality of installation. Thankis. Will buy again and recommend highly.

Looks nice but not as good as I thought it would. Install was a pain. Clips provided were too few and some were not long enough to secure the plastic deflector to the hood. I really wouldn't call this a "bug deflector" as it hasn't cut down on the amount of bugs caked on the front of my car and windshield. It's more of a hood deflector I'd say. The AVS window deflectors that I already had on the car are more impressive.

was as expected---fit great---looks great---seems great---shipped fast---and it installed amazingly fast---less than ten minutes---took longer to get it out of the box and open the little bag of clips than it did to install---Great job Auto anything---well done

Although it's titled a bug deflector I was interested in purchasing one to also help deflect wind (& bugs) off my windshield and the cabover underside of my truck camper. Have there been any tests on deflection angle (similar to wind tunnel)?

Is any drilling necessary to install this product on a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500, or do the screws match up with existing holes?
Answered by James S. — Apr 22, 2012 11:34 AM 2008 Jeep Liberty
With my Jeep there were holes already there. Check on the under side of your hood to see if there are any holes. If there is at least one hole that matches your deflector hole layout, you may try to install it by putting a screw or two into the hole/s just to hold it in place so that you may then drill other holes into the under side of your hood, 'beware'- do not drill too hard or deep or you will go thru your hood and go thru the top of your hood damaging your hood.

HOW DOES IT INSTALL. DOES IT BOLT ON? hOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SIP TO LONG BEACH, CA?
Answered by Rob F. — Oct 21, 2010 11:21 PM
Hey Lang, Check out this install video we shot at our super-sweet AutoAnything custom shop - http://www.autoanything.com/Popups/VideoPlayer.aspx?ProductID=1051 The vid will give you a good idea of how the deflector attaches and how long it takes to install. Plus, we filmed the video in Orange County and it took me about 2 hours to get there in bad traffic - does that answer the Long Beach part of your question? ;-) Thanks, Rob
