The WeatherTech Side Window Deflector--pros and cons

"I've had the deflectors on now for a couple months so have had the opportunity to see how they perform in various types of conditions. Like almost everything this product has its pros and cons. CONS first--1.VISIBILITY--distorts, distracts and reduces a little (I like to be able to see well), 2.VENTILATION--changes the patterns, at least in my Scion xB which may take some getting used to (not bad, but seems to be more air coming into the car) PROS--1.RAIN--wonderful ventilation driving when raining (I don't even have to use ANY fan in the car), and the car hasn't fogged in the least, 2.VENTILATION--seems to have stopped the "low-roar hum" that would happen when only certain windows were down, and/or the sunroof. Great to be able to leave windows down a crack when shopping in hot weather or when rain threatening. Hope it will provide good ventilation in car at night when camping. OVERALL--if you're bothered by little things--less visibility, and the like--and you aren't where it rains much (or don't drive in rain) then this item may not be for you. But if you don't mind a little bit of change (maybe even a small annoyance or two) for great ventilation, especially in the rain, then this is a GOOD buy. PS--they did take a little skill to install and one side was a little long, but we managed and are satisfied."

"I REALLY LIKED THESE WEATHERTECH DEFLECTORS. MY ONLY COMPLAINT WOULD BE THE FLAP THAT'S SUPPOSED TO HANG ABOVE THE WINDOW SILL ON THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE OF MY SIENNA. THAT HANGING DOESN'T SEEM TO BE STRONG AND IT ALSO SCRATCHES THE SILL A LITTLE, BUT BARELY NOTICEABLE. HOWEVER, THE PRICE IS A BIT HIGH-END. SO IF YOU WANT GREAT LOOKING DEFLECTORS WITH GREAT PERFORMANCE, GO WITH THESE WEATHERTECH. BUT IF YOU'RE ON A BUDGET, GO WITH THE CHEAPER ONES."

"Both sets fit well, and went on easily after the first one. No difficulties, good instructions, works well in our climate where it's mostly hot and humid and rains frequently. Now we can leave the windows open to the bottom of the deflectors to help keep the car interiors cool(er) without fear of the seats being wet from showers. The Toyota Matrix set fit the Vibe perfectly. It took more time to remove the pieces from the excellent packaging that it took to install them. Very good product."

"The window deflectors for my Hyandi were of high quality and were very easy to install. The directions were clear and complete. The price was a little more then I wanted to spend, but I did compare prices and it was definitely in line. I guess everything is more expensive these days. I definitely would recommend thes deflectors Dave"

"I have a small hatchback with a lot of glass. It gets very warm on sunny days. The Weathertechs allow me to keep the windows open about 2 inches so the car stays much cooler. Looks-wise they are stylish and not obvious, like some others I've seen. I am very happy I bought them (also have them on 2 other cars)."

"when installing them one of them cracked, followed the enclosed instructions and yet one cracked! While driving through the parking lot of a store on of the back ones fell of luckly no one ran over it before I could pick it up!"

"If you are the type of person who can't even hit a nail with a hammer, like me, then this product is for you. I owned a similar product and did not like the fact that tape was used for instalation. I am not knocking on 3m tape but I was concerned about the damage that would occur in the event I had to replace the tape because of wear and tear. I paid some to remove my old window deflector and it stained the finish on some of the molding on the car. I like to maintain the appearance of my vehicle and retain the value, so I decided to go with Weather Tech. No 3M tape was used and the seal of the deflector seemed flawless. The best part, I did it myself! Yep, even someone with two left thumbs can instal it. I am happy with it and I have numerous compliments!!!!"

"I ordered the front and rear set for my car. I was shipped the rear set and the front set was backordered. Therefore I do not have a review on how they fit, because I cannot install them until I get the complete set which is 1 month away. I note that my credit card was charged the full amount at the time of my order even though it was not shipped to me complete. I am disappointed in this respect to your shipping methods. In my opinion the entire shipment should have been made when everything was available since the rear could not be used without the front. Hopefully the fronts will be shipped within the next month and they can then be installed."

"Great design - very low profile, easy to install with no glue strip. Fits great and looks much better that the stick on type of window deflector. Would highly recommend this product if you are looking for wind deflectors."

"I recently purchased a 2008 Cadillac SRX. My wife is a smoker and so the windows have to be cracked everytime she lights up. I have used widow deflectors in the past so I checked with the Cadillac dealer and they did not have anything. I also checked a couple of other well known aftermarket dealers but could not find any for the 2008 SRX. A google search revealed "autoanything" and lo and behold they had deflectors for my car. The service was very responsive and the product is great."

"Rear windows were very easy to install. Front windows were tricky but I was able to get them in by following the instructions closely. They work very well. I especially like the fact that the front window deflectors come all the way down to the bottom of the window opening."

"Easy to install and really the best looking window visor I have ever seen. Was kind of concerned about the fit because there was some slight movement when first installed when the window was rolled up but after several days with the window rolled up tight against the visors they conform and seat to the window rubber and there is no movement after this occures. I am getting my mom a pair for her car!"

"These are not the first deflecters I have purchased. My family love having them on their vehicles. Here in Texas, it gets rather hot. Having a wind deflector that allows to have the windows slightly open when the vehicle is locked and empty allows for a car that is cooler to enter."
