"The small Philips head screws are too large a thread to guarentee success of all screws properly secured. Small slotted Philips head easily stripped out.. I managed 4 out of 5, before finally failing one screw. Install proceedure is very simple, poor hardware was the problem' Conciderable headlamp glare back, in nite driving of my Yukon, very remarkable in rain. EZ fix, black plastic tape over TOP surface of plastic lense. NOT on FACE of each headlamp. Mad-ox"

"I went with ERG deflector because the OE deflector for my '09 Toyota Tacoma is not designed well and can cause damage to the hood. Not an issue with the EGR. Looks great and is easy to install. It's a little tricky to keep the grommets from turning as you're installing the screws. I just wedged a small screwdriver in the slots and that kept them from turing. I'm happy with it."

"I installed the bug deflector in about 10 minutes. It fits great and looks awesome. It adds to the tough look of my new 09 Chevy 2500HD pickup. I am especially happy with the performance of the bug guard. It works GREAT!! It has dramtically reduced bug and rock impact on my windshield and hood. "easy to install but it did come with any bumpers to attach to the hood so it did hit the truck on the coners.i had to go to walmart to get them. but over all it looks great"

"This is a good product. It fits fairly weel, looks good and is low profile. It looks good on my truck. The down side is the installation. First, the instructions are not really clear. You MUST remove the OEM stripping from under the front of the hood to get the bug shield on. This is NOT clear from the instructions. Second, the way the shield mounts to the hood is very difficult. Do not attempt it alone! I needs two sets of hands. Another tip that makes it easier- place the white plastic inserts in the OEM holes in the hood and screw the provided attachment screws in without the bug shield in place then remove the screws. This spreads the white plastic inserts and makes the the job with the bug shield in place MUCH easier! A nice product but the install is a bit tough."

"I have used Lund bug deflectors in the past, and have been pleased with them. I sold my pickup, bought another and went shopping for a new deflector. I mentioned it to a friend and he showed me his EGR bug deflector and told me how pleased he is with it. I took his recommendation and ordered one. "If there was anything negitive about the product it would be the Left & Right clips that fasten to the hood. I had a different brand before that totally fastened from underneath the hood"

2007 Nissan Frontier EGR bug deflector

"Have had this installed for about 2 weeks now. Overall I am happy with this purchase as it seems to be laying waste to any bit of whatnot heading directly for my hood/windshield. Installation was a bit tricky. The directions were vague at best and should certainly be improved upon. For my situation it requires taking the rubber buffer off the hood lining completely (very easy just take a flat head screw driver and pop em off with no damage). Then find a flat working surface and begin to attach the deflector to the proper slots with their supplied screws and plastic locker thingys (make sure not to expand the thread part until you have properly lined up with the holes on your hood, because doing so before makes it damn near impossible as the whole little dohicky turnes ino some horrific quadrapus that will never fit in, has to resort to super glue...heh) Holds fine and happy, they just need to clarify what to do with the horribly confusing plastic square thingy."
