Description

Nothing ruins a pleasant drive like a windshield smeared with gooey bug guts. On second thought, a big gouge in your paintjob from a kicked-up rock is definitely worse, and costly. Add an intense line of defense against these pesky roadway dangers with an EGR Bug Deflector.

EGR makes a Bug Deflector to match everyone’s tastes. Go old-school with the traditional Aerowrap, which reaches up higher for extra defense. Or, for the ultimate coverage, the SuperGuard towers above all the rest.

For a seamless fit, all of EGR’s Bug Shields are custom designed for your year, make and model. Plus, they’re built tough from impact resistant acrylic, which never rusts, corrodes or oxidizes.

Leave your Makita in the garage—your Bug Shield mounts without any drilling. Instead, it uses sturdy clips and push rivets for an off-the-hood installation that’s easy for cleaning. Lifetime Warranty.

It looks great and the shape conforms great with the curve of the hood. Easy to install as advertised. The side clips are a little tight to get on, but they need to be to hold. Great product.

The EGR Bug deflector showed up in short order and in excellent shape. The instructions need some interpretation in order to make sense, but trial and error got the job completed. One change that needs to be considered is that two of the mounting screws go in the place of the rubber hold-offs for the hood of my 2011 GMC 3500 Duramax. I screwed the rubber spacers back on instead of the provided nuts - seems to be working fine. The finished product looks great.

I originally ordered the pricier AVS model bug deflector for my 2011 KIA Sorento. After waiting 2 weeks to find out the order status, I was informed that it would take another 2 weeks before the item even shipped! I requested that Autoanything cancel the order, and I placed an order for an EGR bug deflector. The order arrived within a week. Installation was a bit tricky--no words, only pictures. However, after taking a few minutes to orient myself, installation only took about 10 minutes. I ordered another bug deflector for my 2006 F250. Both looked great. The deflector for my F250 had written instructions. I am satisfied with EGR bug deflectors and will recommend them to my friends.

The dark smoke deflector looks nice on my 2012 Silverado, the ease of installation around five minutes, no vibration issues. It is a little thick where the hood meets the grill as I will have to loosen the grill where it mounts and see if it will adjust down so when I close the hood the deflector will not rub the paint off the front edge of the hood or have rub marks where it lays aginst the grill. 29 years in the Frame & Collision Repair business I do know about precise fit. The older trucks there is more gap where you should have no problem installing this product.

I like the low profile look of the bug deflector; it was in place while driving in south Texas recently and i had very limited impacts to the windshield even in moderate bug activity driving on Lake Sam Rayburn.

Installation wasnt to bad, probably would have been alittle easier with another set of hands to help hold the deflector up under the hood. Also wasn't a big fan of the clips that I had to put on my hood for the two side pieces over the headlights, I dont really like seeing the screws to hold them on. Overall the shield looks good, and I'm hoping that being the "super" shield that I dont have as many bugs splatting on my windshield.
