"Looks sharp. My only negative comment is at the bottom near the stock grill the finish is a little wrinkly. I only really noticed it when putting it on. I had one on my 97 F150 that required drilling, and if that bare metal doesn't get treated right it will rust, and it rusted. This one goes into stock holes. It should last."

"Was initially concerned that this would be too much chrome but it really looks great. Installation is much easier with 2 people, in fact I thing you need 2 people to do it right. Can't wait to see if it hold up well in Minnesota winters."

"Looks great, very easy to install. The only thing is that now I have some wind noise, and a sound like a chatterring ( I think its the wiper-blades). I noticed thehood shakes now where it did not before."

Sturdy, effective, and a major appearance enhancement

"Excellent appearance augmentation on my '06 4Runner to the relatively small chrome grille. Took only minutes to install with a perfect fit and solid as a rock. At least on the 4Runner or Tacoma pickup, it stands up fairly high and doesn't lay back very close to the hood like most smoke-colored deflectors that require rubber bumpers on the hood to keep them from laying down at speed and scarring the paint. While the kit did include some very high quality rubber hood bumpers, they weren't necessary at all because you'd have to hit a bug the size of a buffalo or be going over 200mph to ever lay it back that far; however, two of the stick-on bumpers made very good spacers/vibration dampeners behind the rear license plate. The deflector's relatively high-angle of standup is very noticeable from the driver's seat, but doesn't interfer with closeup front-end viewing to any degree; and the higher standup angle combined with the smooth/rounded exit from under the edge of the hood provides enough clearance space to keep leaves, twigs, and other junk from collecting between the deflector and hood like most other deflectors do. Only thing I had to do was use some good chrome polish on the back side of the deflector to shine it up a little better since it's so easily seen."

"This is a great item. I have a 2009 black Ford Edge Sport and this deflector looks awesome. I get compliments everywhere I go. It ties in beautifully with the chrome grill. Another great benefit is that it really deflects the bugs. That is important hee in Louisiana. I highly recommend this item. It is a breeze to install. Buy one today. "The bug deflector I bought looks great while being somewhat non-descript after it was installed. The biggest issue you need to be aware of when buying this bug deflector is that the fastening screws that come with it for a 2008 Dodge Ram are not at all viable. I wouldn't dare go 35 MPH on a city road let alone 70 MPH on the freeway without buying and using correct fit fasteners. The ones that came with the bug deflector BARELY hold the deflector in place. Be prepared to buy and use larger fasteners if you buy this product. For a $100.00 plus piece of plastic I would have expected more from the manufacterer in the way of attention to detail."

"Love the look, quality, and fit of the AVS Chrome Bug Deflector. My only suggestion for installation would be to use a spring loaded clamp to help in the installation process. The manufacturer provides double faced tape to hold the item in place during installation, but the force of gravity was stronger, so it wouldnt stay in place. Simply clamp the shield on one end and install fastener on the other. Just be sure to use a clamp with protective covering. The holes line up perfectly without drilling. Makes for a nice installation."
