AVS Bug Deflectors Part #24854 Customer Reviews

The molding on the deflector was very wavy/warped and un even on the underneath side. Also the instructions said the screws were self taping and they were not, I had to drill pilot holes for each one. Also the cheap emblem that was glued to bug shield fell off during instillation. Because of the warping the shield was was hard to line up for a proper fit.

I wish there was more than 5 stars to rate the bug deflector I bought! I paid less than half the price of a cheap one at Wal-Mart! I couldn't be happier with my purchase! I'm a woman and had it installed in less than 10 minutes! I LOVE mine, makes my truck look great!Did I mention I got free shipping, AND was delivered within 3 days!

Looks good, good pricing, fast shipping and excellent service. The only issue we had was in the installation. There didn't seem to be enough spacing between the bottom on the deflector and the radiator support as we had trouble with the hood latching. It broke/cracked a portion on one side near where the screw hole was. We removed the double stick tape, drilled a new hole and made it work. Don't know if it was a design flaw or bad hood adjustment.

Someone on a truck forum suggested this bug deflector to me and I bought it on that recommendation. I couldn't be happier; it was simple to install using the attached adhesive tape and looks great on my Ranger. Overall I'm very happy with the this product and with the service by Auto Anything.

The instructions could have been better and more specific to my car. Drilling is required if you want to make sure it does not come off.

I purchased the AVS Bugflector II for my 96 Ford Ranger after I had my Ranger repainted. Hopefully it will shield the hood from rocks and bugs that created a little damage over the years. It was easy to install and really looks good. As usual the service from AutoAnything was great...

I love the look of the bug deflector. It gives the truck a cooler look and prevents rocks from flying up and scratching the front of the truck. The installation, I went ahead and drilled the bug guard on to prevent it from moving. Installation still was easy. Excellent product! Excellent job!
