With the Love Bugs in Florida, it is necessary to have a bug deflector. They definitely help protect the paint as the Love Bugs can take the paint off. This deflector does the job and looks good, too.

This is the 4th AVS bug deflector that I have purchased and I have never had a problem with any of them. The first one was on my 2001 Ford F150 for 12 years and still looked as good as the day I put it on the truck.

The bug deflector is great. As some others posted, I cut out slots from the rubber lining for the bug deflector, and it fit in perfectly. I didn't remove the entire rubber lining. With the bug deflector and rain-x on the windshield, there are no bugs. There is little if any change in gas mileage.
