This deflector is a sturdy product and looks good on the vehicle when installed. However, the installation instructions are very poorly written and leave you guessing about what you need to do. Instructions do not tell you what size holes you have to drill into your hood - only how deep they need to be. Instructions do not tell you how the deflector should be positioned to prevent it from resting on the paint finish and ultimately marring the paint job. Overall - good product, very poor instructions.

Its nice, but I would wait for more deflectors to come out for the 08 Escape. This one only comes in charcoal (chrome would be nice to match the grille or another color to match the body) and it really doesn't "deflect". The deflector basically is parallel with the hood, which doesn't give the lift at the top of the deflector. If you need a deflector now, get this one, it was easy to install and looks fine.
